convert a date

This one's probably easy, but I wanted to know the BEST way to do this.
I have a date stored in the format yyyymmdd (packed decimal, 8 digits, 0
decimal). I want to convert it to the *ISO standard format (YYYY-MM-DD) so I
can perform the SUBDUR calculation on it. What is the easiest/fastest/most
efficient way to do this? I am using ILE RPG on V4R2M0.
