I'm trying to use %CHAR to convert a numeric field to an alpha, and keep getting a compile error of: *RNF0386 30 1 The parameter for %CHAR is not valid. The statement I'm using is: 0187.00 C Eval EGWgt = %CHAR(ShGWgt) where EGWgt is 14(A) and ShGWgt is 13,3. While this is a new function for me, it looks pretty self-explanatory ... the only thing I could think of is that %CHAR isn't available on our release (V4R3). Anyone know when this function became available, or is there something else obvious that I'm missing? +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
