× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

The limit is now 256 which is only reduced for some DBCS considerations (and I
forget the details).  But some old controllers (eg a 5294) can still have the
lower limit which also got reduced by use of Mod 10/11, mag stripe, and selector
light pen fields.
