>> Try stepping with F22 (Step into) instead of F10 (step). This will cause it to step into your subprocedures when you're going step-by-step. I find it simpler to keep my finger on the Shift key and do F22 all the time! If there is nothing to step into, it just does a step as if you pressed F10.
