You could put the output from the job to a unique spoolfile  .. then you
would not need to worry about the job number ...... assuming that the job is
only run once during the preceding day .. and that all of the out put is
used in the next day job..

How about using the program status data structure to retrieve it in your RPG

program and then store it in a DTAARA, physical file, or LDA if possible.
