Thanks Brad. I must admit I haven't been using ILE to the full, but I'm
finding it difficult switching between procedural (RPG) and OO (Java). I'll
read up on service progs etc.

Yes, use ILE (suprocedures, service programs mainly).  It'll get you close,
but it's not true OO (Object Overkill.. <bg>).
