Hi All, Sorry I didn't reply to any questions/comments as I was not at work on the 29th. A couple of comments. Firstly, thanks to all for the replies. I didn't realize that calling another program passing the data structure as a parm actually passed by reference (ie. pointer as it is). However, the examples I received gave me more insight into pointers. The problem, I think, I was having was calling the program passing the pointer and not a field based on the pointer. Again, thanks.
