What you can do, is create another file, using the new field structures.
And in your programs create an externally described data structures, and
when ever you retrieve a record from the original file, move the record
into the data structure.
When your in DBU, Access the original file, and do a F4=Fields, and then an
F8=Import fields, and enter in your new file, and select to Replace fields.
