I do nothing... don't open, don't close, don't specify USROPN. I ran into problems with that before and found out that the file open flag isn't always correct. For example, I'd close it, then at the beginning I'd check if it was open and if it wasn't I'd open it. Well, it was closed, but the system thought it was open. Wacky mess.
