Hi Sam, The only solid reason from the point of view of a one-person contract programming company is the price -- I believe IBM's is about 1/3 the price of ASNA's at the moment. But if you have the $, I would pick ASNA also. As a part time VB programmer, when I first saw ASNA's VRPG, it was almost surprising to see RPG code behind the forms -- everything else looked almost exactly like VB (I think it was VB3 at the time). IBM's VARPG has some bizarre GUI concept which I still don't quite get -- it's like their programmers never saw any Windows application software before.
