We used to use WRKMBRPDM to do file transfer from a multi member file back when we used ETU. Wrote a PDM pseudocommand that called a CL that did a PWRFROM3XB and then renamed the member if the transfer was successful. The WRKxxxPDM commands have a lot in common with X-Tree. I don't use multi-member files a lot, but every now and then they come in handy. They are a logical, if not necessarily sensible, consequence of an object based definition of files. If you use them carefully, they are about as harmless as anything else. <g> > -----Original Message----- > From: John Hall [mailto:jhall@hillmgt.com] > Sent: Thursday, October 19, 2000 1:38 PM > To: RPG400-L@midrange.com > Subject: Re: Accessing files In QTEMP and the utility of > multi-memberfile s > > > Actually the storing of source code in members of a file is a good > example of the weaknesses of multi member files.
