Is this possible in RPG/400? We have a client that uses an over the counter sales cash drawer that is opened by an ascii control character that is intercepted by the printer and opens the cash drawer. Our receipt printing program uses simple o-specs and I'm baffled by how to send this info to the printer. I could convert the o-specs to a printer file but I don't really know if the CVTDTA keyword would work. And I can't find a hex equivalent to CTRL-J. (I'm out of my league here, obviously.) Any leads would be appreciated - I did a search on IBM's web site today and found stuff about Transperancy and the CVTDTA keyword but since I don't know (yet) what type of printer they are using, I don't know if it is even possible. TIA, Terry Owen, RPG Programmer work email: towen@quintrex.com p.s. Would using STRPCCMD to send a DOS command like Copy ^J PRN: work or is that too bizarre? +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
