That's 'cause my e-mailer has a bug and alters the first character of anything
going out
and anything coming in. I don't know why but since IBM canned support for it,
it ain't
going to change now but that's why I start all my messages on the second line
(so
UltiMail/2 can do what it likes with the first line). Now if it repeated the
first
character rather than randomly generating one, I could pretend that it was
attempting to
use raised initials (a different sort of 'cocked-up' from the bug :).

Keeping on topic:
With regard to the parameter passing -- fine, I leave it in your capable hands.
 The
current situation is more annoying than a show stopper so I can live with it.
I have
other things to beat IBM up about. The compiler writers are way, way down the
list.
However, the NetServer group -- now those %$&^**( are right at the top, in
capitals, with
exclamation marks.

Regards,
Simon Coulter.
