In this case, I think Richard is right - this has to be done right. RPG could spend months implementing some scheme that's RPG-RPG only, that would have to be supported forever, and that would be incompatible with any possible future system support. (And so too could COBOL.) Or we could spend days to support some ideal cross-language solution. Have a nice day!
