Myself and another person are responsible for the setup, administration, and maintenance of the change management systems here. We use SDM-Implementer by MKS and have it running on six systems. I have been involved with it from the beginning, setting up the environments, configuring the systems and communications, setting up users, object codes, etc. I think it is a great product. Very flexible, which many say makes it cumbersome to configure and maintain. I believe it make the product that much more robust and gives you many options to choose from. It handles ILE and file management very well. My only negative response is their slowness to adopt SQL for file implementations. We've successfully created our own "Special Commands" to handle the implementation of files to be created/deleted/changed using SQL scripts. Our other option was to have MKS develop this capability for us, at a fairly significant cost to us.
