Parvez, You first have to do a DSPMSGD of all of the messages that you want to see with OUPUT(*PRINT) specified. You then need to copy the spool file to a database file using CPYSPLF remembering to use *FCFC for the control character. Then simply download the database to your Excel spreadsheet. This is very tiresome, especially in a high impact development environment. To get around this, we developed a program that worked better than the IBM WRKMSGF command - it allows you copy, etc. The MRGMSGF command comes someway near to this but it doesn't allow you rename message Ids when running the command.
