Re: READE is confusing to me

How about doing a SETLL in place of of the CHAIN?
Is your file LIFO, so your CHAIN would give you the last of the group and
therefore your "cursor" is "positioned" at  the end of the group and your READE
would give you only one record?
Before a READE, I always issue a SETLL......
