There ARE good examples how to use UNIX APIs in RPG, just try the search on
with the keyword UNIX or open() and you will find what you need ...

I did a search for the Sorcerer's Guide (and subsets of the name) and could
not find it on the redbook site.  Anyone have a publication number?
