Ignoring the *IN99 (gag!), I wouldn't use either one. In this particular case I would use clear eqsize It's not going to make any difference performance-wise as they probably generate exactly the same W-code. move *zeros eqsize would probably generate the same code as well. My personal preference is to use clear when setting a field to *blanks for character fields or *zeros for numeric fields, and to otherwise use eval. Ken Southern Wine and Spirits of Nevada, Inc.
