What do you think about OVRDBF FILE( &file ) TOFILE( &tofile ) MBR( *all ) regards Hannes Rosner -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: owner-rpg400-l@midrange.com [mailto:owner-rpg400-l@midrange.com] im Auftrag von tomh@simas.com Gesendet am: Dienstag, 22. What it does: uses the 'C' SystemCmd function to run the DSPFD command to build a file containing the member list of a certain multi-member PF. Then it uses the SystemCmd function to do an OVRDBF to open each member in the file. Then using SQL I read each record in the member. I do not know beforehand what the members are in the multi-member file. I'd like to use the SQL 'ALIAS' command to do the override instead of using the OVRDBF. So... how do I use the SQL 'ALIAS' command with a variable member name? +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
