That's an interesting take on reality. I don't know if I can disagree more with you on that. For example, the news or tips newsletters produced by Search400, AS400Network, MidrangeComputing, and others, are *supported* by advertising. The content, though, is not intended to be an advertisement. The promotional and product-oriented newsletters produced by the above companies *are* advertisements.
