Well, since you are permitted to download the IBM manuals....... all you have to do is get the free version of Adobe Reader ( www.adobe.com ) and you can read the manual. If it make you feel better to think you are doing something wrong, then let me put it this way..

hypothetically, a person could go to the website www.adobe.com and download a copy of the Adobe reader....making sure the person was not caught doing the download.... and that person, or his/her designee could possible read the alleged IBM manual using the ill-gotten Adobe Reader..... but this should be kept to yourself at all costs...for that person may be shown the inside of a small room with bars.....

If some reprobate were to, completely hypothetically, breach IBM's copyright by downloading a manual from the publib.boulder.ibm.com site on to his desktop, let us suppose this imaginary programmer then wished to open it. I've rejected Word 7, purely on logical grounds, you understand. Any ideas? (or theories rather).
