Thanks for everyone's suggestions!  My problem was that we had
originally modified the source to use externally described printer file. 
However, this became a cumbersome (and overkill) for new release
updates.

What happened was, the next mods that came in, I decided to leave it
internally described, but left the external description (oops!).  When you
do this your program will compile just fine (It's good! [field goal]), but
when you run the program you'll get the error previously described in my
original e-mail.
