If this is the same rand function from the PC C, it should return a decimal number between 0 and 1. Something like 0.393838382 To use this to get a number from 1 to n (like 1 to 100) the formula is The integer of (x * n) + 1 In C would like like Number = Int(Rand() * 26) + 1 which would produce a number from 1 to 26. You might have a little fun getting this formula to work accuratly in RPG, but it should be good enough for your purposes even with truncation that will most likely occur.
