This is a weird problem, I hope Hans sees this, since he's the RPG Guy. I'm at V4R4. I've got a CLLE pgm which calls an OPM rpg pgm. The CL passes 4 parms, the 4th one is &OK, a flag ('0' or '1'), then the cl does other stuff, based on &OK. The CL calls the RPG with &OK set to '1', it stays a '1' right up thru the last statement of the RPG, then is a blank when it returns to the CL pgm. I know all this by using ISDB on the RPG. This is a weird one, looks like a problem with variables going through activation groups, boundaries or something along those lines. The clle is *CALLER and is called from a CLP(from a menu). I recompiled the CLLE as a CLP, it works again. These pgms were written in 1989, have been working fine, until I changed the CLP to CLLE, just for better debug capabilities. I called in a PMR (63932-019) An IBMer should be able to see the details of the call. The tech recommended I apply SF62366 (for 5769RG1) and SF60261, SF60936(for 5769SS1) They're downloading now and the tech is talking to their RPG developer to call me back Re-stated. CLP (menu) --> CLLE, calls OPM RPG (to create a splf) with &OK='1', then does other stuff based on return value of &OK, and ends I believe this to be a software defect and should be looked into. -- William A.(Tony) Corbett corbett@asresources.com http://www.asresources.com http://www.cbt400.com +--- | This is the RPG/400 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to RPG400-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to RPG400-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to RPG400-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
