We use the job scheduler quite a bit. We have automated file transfers from our system to other systems that run every day. So, we go into the job scheduler (WRKJOBSCDE) and add a command, tell it weekly, then give it all the days of the week we want it to run and what time. And, viola! The job runs every day as entered. We also used to have it send a message to *ALLACT stating the system was goign down at 8:00, we'd send this about 7:45. Didn't have to remember. Pretty nifty, eh?
