RE: Blank Subfile Errors

You need to know, how many records is in the subfile, and you will need some
record in the DSPF, where is written 'no records' or something like this.
And if will you have less records than one, you will exsr this 'EMPTY'
record, instead of the SUBF.

Hello List

I am experiencing yet another problem with subfiles. I have a file 
maintenance pgm which allows a user to add/update records in a file. 
However,when the file is blank or empty and the add window is triggered I 
continually get a major/minor return code error. I obviously do not get this

error when the file contains data. Any opinions will be much appreciated.
