Is the physical file in arrival sequence ( does it have an access path )?

If the physical file is in arrival sequence, my experience is that A is much
faster. If not, just RGZPFM. It's the access path building that takes the
time. Option B would require maintenance of the access path as the copy is
happening, if the physical is not arrival sequence.

Subject: File reorganization

I've got to reorg some files on the system. What is faster:

A. Reorganize files as:
     - remove logical's
     - reorg files
     - add logicals
or

B. Copy data out to temp file, followed by copying data back

Files are from 5,000,000 to 43,000,000 records and have logical files based
on them.

Answers would be greatly appreciated.
