And there was me thinking I'd never have a chance to disagree with Brian!!

I use nothing _but_ the INDARA and INDDS.  The only file type I can think of
where I need indicators is ICF and I don't use those.  If I did I would use the
based mapping method Brian describes.

Now that you don't need indicators for any file operations (you can use the
BIFs), I use the INDDS and my own named indicators on the rare occasions when I
need to maintain a Boolean for purposes other than print or display files.
