Try using:
Key Chain(E) RcdFmt
        Select
        When %found

        When %error

        Other

        EndSl

instead of the indicator. Or you must use both the error and not found
indicators.

Subject: ILE RPG and Locked Records

I am attempting to handle locked records within an RPGLE program. I have
attempted to place an error indicator in position 73-75 of the read
statement to be used if a record lock cannot be resolved. This feature
worked well in RPGIII. It appears that if I do not place an indicator in
73-74 a lock record returns an error to the program, however if I place and
indicator is 73-74, no error is returned to the program and the indicator is
never set. What am I doing wrong?
