Bascially, there are binary and ascii formats.  Ascii is for text files.  That
will convert between an AS/400's EPSDIC, er, EPSIDIC, er.. format,
and a PC's ASCII format.  This can't be used for binary type information,
however, such as executables, files with compacted numbers (zoned) and
such.

Any other file, you want to send as Binary.

AS/400 to AS/400 you can always use Binary, for any file.  PC to PC you
can always use Binary.  AS/400 text file to PC, or PC text file to AS/400
use ASCII, otherwise use binary.
