It seems to me that this is the real inconsistency.  The original indicator
implementation was just plain silly, but maintaining compatibiulity for good or
bad will do this to you.

This is exactly why I don't understand your problem with the BIFs.  Now that you
have %Found (as opposed to no record found) I would have said that have greater
consistency.  I agree that a general "it worked" indication would be nice, but I
suspect they felt that people would want the one-to-one relationship with the
old method.
