Hi dajiba,

I think you can get the output of WRKACTJOB as a spool file. Then you can copy
the spool file into a database file by means of the command CPYSPLF.

Hope this helps,

Thanks,

Kalyan

Hi Every body ,

I have a problem and I thought its a high time I should refer this to Gurus
and fundus out here ..

We have a X25 connection through which we connect to the Networks at our
principle in Germany.

Its a costly affairs , so we have alloted time to each departments. However
, We are not able to monitor them effeciently.

I was thinking about

    a> writng a CL/RPG program where by I can read what a
particular user/Workstaion is doing , and if he is using
that particaular application(The one which is on X25 line)
beyond his stipulated time , send him a breakmessage and
       close the application.

b> Alternatevely , Loggging in the time ,user starts and quits
the application on X25 line. Finally totalling the total time
he was using it at the end of the day ,and giving the reports
for accounts to sort the matter.

However , to accomplish this , I need a command by which I can retrieve
the job a user/workstaion is performing at any given moment of
time.WRKACTJOB and other commands I know of ,only gives info on Display
mode or print mode , and not in Outfile mode.

So how do i get the info ?

Secondly , If i keep this program active for the whole of working time ,
Iam not sure how much its going to eat CPU percentage and my CPU too !!!!!

Can you guys put some light on these or alternatevely suggest me
some other options

Thanks in advance

dajiba
