We get considerable resistance from management to any ideas that push the envelope on the AS400. Because all of our AS400 apps are considered "mission critical", and management sees that bleeding edge PC apps often (and regularly) fail with dramatic flair, they assume that the AS400 must suffer from the same pitfalls (it does, to some extent, though not quite as dramatic or flaky).
