Personally, I think the only correct answer is to simply create a command to call the program. Commands are so simple to define; I'm continually amazed at how under-utilized user created commands seem to be on the 400! I don't think *any* program should be called from the command line. IMHO, the CALL command is for use in programs. Create commands for everything else. I even create commands for many programs that I don't expect to call from a command line. It makes for such an easy way to extend CL functionality.
