Use a 15,5 entry parm (result field) and then you can use your 9,0 custid in
factor one to accept the value. This will allow you to the rpg program
directly form the command line.

Beginners question:

I'm attempting to call an RPG application from the
command line with a parm, but I continue to get an
error indicating that I have a data decimal error. 
I'm not quite sure if I'm doing this right or not but
essentially I'm doing the following:

 CALL PGM(ALIBARY/PROGRAMX) PARM(9)  

I need to pass a numeric variable to my RPG program
that looks like this:

Is this right... or am I missing something that I
should have?
