Thanks Bryan but thats not the problem it works fine the problem is with some Keyword missing in the DSPF or/and combination of the RSTDSP option for compilation of the DSPF (not PGM as I told yesterday by mistake). For avoid the situation described before, not forgetting the perfomance.... We build a table in the program which we cycle through when the user presses f23. in the display sflctl record we place a 76 byte field to contain the text, then whenever the users presses f23 for more options we cycle to the next set of option keys. We use the same method for multiple cmd keys. I have a standard mock up of a subfile program I'd be glad to send to you if you want to see how it works. Bryan
