The DATEDIT keyword on the H-spec also influences the formatting of the numeric date values supplied by the *DATE and UDATE Figurative Constants. These two Constants deliver the Job Date, and can be used in the C-specs as well as O-specs. You will also find various date values (numeric and character) available from the Program Status Data Structure, (PSDS). Both Job Date and System Date are accessible - and DATEDIT influences their format as well.
