After Scott's answer this morning I decided I must have missed something. Sure enough John, there' a "design" command that I'd never seen before. That made a lot of difference. Simon's CL digital clock was what I decided to use as my "going to school" example. I liked the way the Code/400 designer worked, allowing me to paste in figlet letters instead of the 88:88:88 stick numbers. I came away with two questions: In CL with a DDS screen how do you turn off 59 indicators every cycle? There has got to be something better than CHGVAR repeated 59 times, hasn't there? And, number 2, is there a way to monitor for a function key? I want the clock to tick off the seconds, which I suppose means a SNDRCVF *NO followed by a DLYJOB command, and then a GOTO. But I don't understand a way the job can be interrupted and then ended gracefully. _______________________ Booth Martin boothm@earth.goddard.edu http://www.spy.net/~booth _______________________ John P Carr <jpcarr@tredegar.com> Sent by: owner-rpg400-l@midrange.com 02/21/2000 01:17 PM Please respond to RPG400-L To: RPG400-L <RPG400-L@midrange.com> cc: Subject: Re: GUI RLU (was Record Number / RPG cycle) >I tried DSU a few times but saw nothing GUI about it. Other than, functions like bringing up an existing report or display in one window and drawing a box around a portion of the screen with the mouse and pasting it to a new report or display and it creating all the DDS. Ah, I don't think RLU was that easy.
