If I need to do level break processing on a key field in the file I do KEYFLD L1 EXSR DTLRCDPROCESSING L1 EXSR KEYFLDPROCESSING LR EXSR LRPROCESSING So all my processing for level breaks in neatly done in a subroutine. So for simple file processing, or simple reports that can be coded in this way, its great Anything more complicated than this, and I break out and use full-procedural -----Original Message----- From: Chris Beck [mailto:CBeck@good-sam.com] Sent: Tuesday, February 15, 2000 9:04 PM To: RPG400-L@midrange.com Subject: RPG Cycle What does everyone think of the RPG cycle, for todays programming?
