if U are comfi with array and data structure here is solution

Step 1 : move the fields which comes in, into the array say ARRAY1.

Step 2 : Init second array ARRAY2 to blanks

         Subscript of ARRAY1 = X ; ARRAY2 = Y

Step 3 : X = 1 ; y = 0

Step 4 : DOW X < = total_elem

--->>> IF ARRAY1(X) > *blanks ( this is the catch)

          y = y +1

          eval ARRAY2(Y) = ARRAY1(X)

          endif

          x = x + 1

          enddo

the if condition would allow non blank elements to be moved to the result
array. now the result array will have only non blank elements consecutively.

try it and let me know

Thanks :)

Subject:        arangeing 10 fields

I have 10 fields. some of them have data in them, some don't and it varies
with every record.

I need to have a report that has the data in the fields.

but I need the data to look pretty. Not just one here and one there. so
how can I take the data and make it all line up nicely.

What I have:   fld1     fld2      fld3      fld4     fld5      fld6
etc.....
                        xyz                             dba
fda

What I want:   fld1     fld2      flk3       fld4     fld5      fld6
etc.....
                        xys      dba      fda

I can do it with selects but that seems like a lot of lines of code to do
this. There must be a better way.

any help would be appreciated.
