1) Hold the jobq in which the job is to be submitted. 2) Submit the job. 3) Hold the job and release the jobq(it's a good practice to hold the job and release the jobq). 4) STRSRVJOB on the submitted job. 5) STRDBG on the program/programs u want to debug. 6) F3. 7) Release the held job. 7) A screen will be displayed prompting u to press F10 or enter. Press F10. This will take you to command line. Type DSPMODSRC. 7) The source for the program is shown. Put break points whereever req. 8) F3. The screen as described in point 7 is again shown. This time press Enter to start the job. 9) Ur job starts running and the the program will stop at the first break point encountered. After debug is ober, do ENDDBG and then ENDSRVJOB. Happy debugging ..:) Cheers Shishir -----Original Message----- From: Seenivasan A K K, Gurgaon [mailto:akks@ggn.hcltech.com] Sent: Monday, February 07, 2000 3:09 PM To: RPG400-L@midrange.com Subject: How to debug a batch job?
