Stone, I was using IE5 for all the experiment. Today I used Netscape 4.7 and everything works! 1) The input string from the search page (generated by CGIPGM0) is presented to HTTP server correctly (as is in IE5) 2) The input string from the search page (a html file saved from CGIPGM0 output) is olso presented to HTTP server correctly! (not as is in IE5) I then started IE5 again and the 2) above does not work as I described before. There is something (maybe a bug) in IE5 that I don't understand.
