Rick, Simpler than what? A "CL-only" solution is going to be extremely cumbersome and fragile. If it were me, I'd write the needed code in RPG IV and write a CL command to invoke it. It can be done, but CL is so poorly suited to the task that I would not try it. If you are in an environment without an HLL compiler and think that you must use CL, look into ReXX and SQL (via query management query.)
