You can get the RRN of a record from offset 30 of the I/O feedback area in
the file information data structure (INFDS). See the data management manual
for the layout. Since you are processing the file sequentially the RRN will
be the first record in the buffer. You can reduce the size of the buffer by
specifying SEQONLY(*YES 1) on an OVRDBF command. This will impact
performance since your data buffer only contains one record. If you have
the file opened for update, the system may have already reduced the buffer
size.

Subject: Printing RRN of Keyed Physical File in RPG/400

I have the need to process a keyed physical file by the keys, but need to
print the RRN of the records that are selected. How can I find the RRN and
move it to the print file? I have searched the Midrange-L archives to no
avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
