I don't disagree - in fact I normally preach this philosophy - and frequently
get attacked for failing to pay attention to efficiency.  This time I went with
performance and ..... Oh well.

I just wish that Opdesc was fully supported (and Hans I know it's not Toronto's
problem - but you do need to beat up Rochester on it) that way writing generic
routines would be easier.
