Isn't wanting invalid dates (i.e. special values) in a date type data field
a little like some programmers used to do on ye olde System 3 - leaving
blanks in a numeric field to indicate it was null? Anyone want to make the
argument that blanks in a numeric field is a "special value"? And I figure
it was a common occurrence or why are there all those options to ignore
decimal data error?
