I think you might want to initialize each occurrance of the array to zeros
before you start using them.

Subject: using an array as part of a multiple occurrence data structure

Hello:

I am trying to use an array as part of a MODS, which is defined as follows

dsorttray ds occurs(50)
d whatcde 1 8
d dys 4 0 dim(275)
d hrs 3 0 dim(25)

i.e., an array of 275 elements, length 4, with no decimal places. (for the
record, I have also tried this using absolute lengths, with the same
results).

I am indicating the appropriate element for array dys with the following
field:

d d# s 3 0

using the calculation line:

c if dys(d#) = 0

and I am receiving error MCH1202 - Decimal data error. In debug, the value
for d# shows as 001; the occurrence for sorttray = 01, both appropriate
values given the context...

I've consulted all the reference books I can get my mouse on, but am still
stumped. Any clues out there?

Thanks,

Thom Randolph
