Your service program is not complied with debug information or least that is
what happens to me if there is no debug information.

Subject: Step into service program in debug

Hi there,

I am having trouble getting STRDBG to work when I try to step into a
procedure in a service program.
The code I am trying to debug in by main program is as follows:

Eval UsrSpcPtr = SetUsrSpc( UsrSpcName :
                                  UsrSpcLib )
 If UsrSpcPtr = *Null

SetUsrSpc is a procedure in a service program that checks for an
existing user space, creates it if necessary and returns a pointer to
the user space. My problem appears to be in this procedure, but I have
been unable to step into this procedure (F22). When debug stops on the
Eval statement, Step into goes directly to the If UsrSpcPtr...
statement. I have used F14 to select the service program and add break
points to the SetUsrSpc, but I have not been able to get the debugger to
step into SetUsrSpc.

I have been able to step into other service program procedures when used
with the CallP op code.

Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance for any help on this.
