You might want to do the same thing that IBM does on the WRKACTJOB where you
can position the cursor on a column and press F16 to sort by that column,
*without* reloading the subfile. Another example would be a subfile with a
name and a date, you load it initially sorted by name, then allow the user
to choose to have it sorted by date instead.

I don't know of any API that will sort a subfile. I can think of two
solutions: 1) reload the subfile in the desired sequence; or 2) read the
subfile into a multi-occurrence data structure, then use the QLGSORT API
(described in "AS/400e series: System API Reference OS/400 National Language
Support APIs", SC41-5863-01) to sort it, then reload the subfile from the
MODS.
